Aura - Kalki | Psy-trance Track of the Month (July 2020)
My love for the weird and eclectic world of psy-trance music remains strong.
Exhibit A was taken at Love Project: this was my first psy-trance party in the majestic mountains of the Western Cape (thanks to my good friend Skye for taking me).
Psy-trance, like coffee, has many notes, flavours, and layers. But underneath that complex exterior is a basic beat that makes an entire dance floor stomp in the mud with pure joy and happiness.
Psy-trance is a unique blend of sounds and sensations that reverberate through your body, mind, and spirit.
Aura by Kalki has a blend of sounds that begin with a traditional, psy-ish landscape, onto a bouncy climax, followed by a hive-like ending.
Big ups to Psy-Nation Radio with Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura for the tip-off.
I fucking love it.
This is an experimental blog post. As always, I would love to hear your thoughts (hello@joshsnyman.com)
