MOVEMENT
for your body
Think of MEAT as the activation of the wisdom inside your body to allow you to MOVE well; without the correct signalling to your body’s wisdom that all is well through the ingestion of quality animal-based foods, you may find it difficult and hard to be motivated to MOVE.
Anything that honours your physical body — your sacred animal flesh — falls neatly into the movement modality. None of these sacred MOVEMENTS is meant to be descriptive; they are simply tools you can use or not — or make up an entirely new form and share it with your community.
Maybe you’re somebody that sits at a desk all day and has absolutely no clue (or motivation) on where to start when it comes to MOVING. Whatever your background, you need to have compassion for the entire project of being human. You need to honour your past destructive tendencies and bad habits as simply ways your consciousness devised for you to get out of pain. Once you’ve held yourself tenderly with compassion, you can move with sacred MOVEMENT.
You might even be somebody that is very active but lacks the MEAT to have that activity activate your wisdom to heal, become lean and strong and resilient. Too often I’ve seen people do CrossFit — one of my favourite forms of MOVEMENT — for years, and their biological animal flesh hasn’t changed at all. How can this be? It’s certainly not a lack of exercise. These people even run marathons and cycle hundreds of kilometres on the weekends. It can only be pinned to the lack of an ancestrally aligned diet with nutrient-dense animal-based products. When you combine MEAT with MOVEMENT you will see changes in your body that will be hard to ignore.
Movement is our birthright. To not move is to not live. When we mention movement as inner shamans, what we mean is any activity that connects your physical animal flesh to the Earth’s energy field, breaks you into a sweat, challenges you or thrusts you into the flow state.
MOVEMENT MODALITIES
-
Walking is the most underrated medicine on Earth. Your demons hate it when you get out and feel the Earth’s vibrational energy. It’s also a great way to drain your Lymphatic system, get steps in, lose extra fat and feel amazing. Try nasal breathing when you walk to focus your mind even more. Bonus points for walking after each big meal in your day — just 5-10min. This will mitigate a blood-sugar spike and help you digest your food better.
-
At least once or twice a week aim to move fast. I mean fast. Get that heart rate up and above its usual working capacity. Sprinting activates the fast twitch fibres in your muscles and is one of the best methods for unloading excess energy through your fat cells.

This can be incorporated daily — and even combined with MINDFULNESS in the next part of the tool kit. Stretching our bodies and ensuring solid mobility is as ancient as time. There is something profound in feeling your hips being loosened from a good stretch; an almost loosening of the bodymind as a whole.

The breath brings the mind, which is all over the place, back to its source, a natural state of peacefulness and joy — Ravi Shankar. When you control and accept and notice your breath your life changes. Breath-Work is working with your own biological breathing system to create a capacity of resilience. It’s the willingness to breathe deliberately, putting conscious stress on the bodymind, so that when life’s inevitable stress hits the shores you are prepared.

“The cold is merciless but righteous, it teaches you how to breathe” — Wim Hof.
Extreme cold and heat are indispensable to the modern inner shaman. It activates the deepest parts of our being — past the emotional baggage that comes with thinking in the normal world, overanalysing and over-worrying, the cold and heat is in essence the surest way to the present moment there is. Try taking cold showers as a starting point. If you have access to cold plunging equipment or saunas, great (or just jump in your nearest lake).

Muscle is the organ of longevity. Most people think that in order to look good you have to sit on a bicycle in a crusty old gym for 4 hours a day doing cardio. This is not the case. Lifting weights in a way that challenges you — but doesn’t hurt you — is the best way to build muscle. Muscle is a container for calories. So When you build muscle, your food’s energy is stored there as a result — instead of in your fat cells.
Practice a variation of these each day in conjunction with eating an ancestrally aligned meat-based diet and watch your bodymind become one. Find a combination of movements — or an entirely new activity that might not be mentioned — for yourself and make it your own.
