Documentary I’ve Enjoyed

Andy Irons: Kissed by God

maxresdefault.jpg

A documentary about a gnarly son of bitch, this great little film made me cry, laugh and smile. Andy Irons is possibly the only guy in history that could take on Kelly Slater. Their rivalry was fierce and I don’t think there is anything like it on the world surfing tour today.

I say ‘was,’ because Andy is no longer with us. I won’t spoil it for you, so watch it. I rented mine from iTunes for R40, but you can find it anywhere I’m guessing (even illegally of course).

Festival I’m Looking Forward To

Origin

Origin is one of South Africa’s best loved psychedelic festivals. With art, music and food to indulge all the senses, I cannot wait to be there. If by some reason you are there and you have read this, say howzit (I’ll be front right more than likely).

Best Coffee in Cape Town

Ground Art Café

Located in De Waterkant, this compact coffee shop and micro gallery is one of the best spots for coffee in town. A bonus is the staff. Always smiling, asking how you are and giving off great energy.

If you go, say Josh recommended it ;)

Hope you have a fantastic weekend. If you enjoyed this weekly brew of weird and wonderful shit I’ve done, seen and tasted — please subscribe to my newsletter for regular updates.
